Master Class in Design
I've been looking at Attesa for years, always intrigued by the design and concept, but never made a buy decision. Today, my local Macy's at Ala Moana (a great watch store!) got in this new limited edition Attesa and it was love at first sight! The design is simple, clean, sporty, with a touch of gold that accents the dial and bezel well without going "Vegas!" The watch face has a meteorite look to it, with very pleasing gradation at various angles. The bezel similarly is rather amazing depending on the angle - with the cities becoming easily legible bright gold when you need that to almost glossy black. It is a fun watch from the start just to move around and look at as the light plays off the dial and bezel. The bracelet adds a very pleasant touch of reflection off of the flat surface, continuing that play with light. To add to the value of the bracelet, it has an easy to use micro adjust - living in Hawaii, that is a huge plus when you move from outdoors with heat and humidity to indoor AC, or traveling to other climates. And living in the middle of the Pacific, Atomic connectivity is not really an option. Setting the watch to my time zone and correct time and date was amazingly simple, and dazzlingly fast - press the top chrono and bottom chrono buttons for a couple seconds and then simply enjoy how fast it moves to your local time. Not a first Citizen for me, but a first Attesa. Highly recommended.
