Excellent Watch
This is my third ecodrive, and I’ve been extremely satisfied with all 3. I own about 12 watches and the ecodrive is preferred due to reliability and never a need for service. This watch is lightweight and comfortable as an every day watch, yet classy enough to wear to special occasions. I’ve read other reviews and the one complaint I’ve seen is about the tip of the band. No problems here. Excellent watch that I highly recommend.
Awesome Watch
Love the band and the magnifyer on the date. And of course the eco drive
The eco-drive feature is what sold me.
Performing to all expectations. Very easy to keep the 'battery' topped off. very stylish and comfortable. The fabric band is beautifully designed in the way it adjusts to fit perfectly centered on and wrist size. Strap supports work perfectly, and the grommets on the holes will ensure durability. Initially the cloth band was a reservation, but I am pleasantly surprised. Excellent value for the price.
Comfortable --easy to wear and read
What surprised me about this watch is the numbers, hands and markers are outlined in chrome.. which reflects available light and allows easier viewing for a person with impaired vision. The hands, numbers and markers are luminous for a limited amount of time after being exposed to bright light. I had to replace the nylon band after 1 month of use due the end of the band fibers came apart and gluing it back together only helped for a few weeks. So I replaced it with a metal band. All four of the Citizen solar watches I purchased in the last 6 months run fast by 4 to 6 seconds per month. I was hoping for better accuracy since my 20 yr old solar watches keep time to better than 1 second per month.
Comfortable
I've had this watch at least a month, and it's been fantastic. This is my only watch so I can't compare it to anything, but it's comfortable never loses charge and looks great. I was concerned about the strap when i saw some previous reviews but I've never had a problem. Fantastic watch, I'm very satisfied.
Great Everyday Watch
This is my second Citizen, the first being much nicer with a metal band that I like to wear on special occasions. I bought this watch as my new daily wearer because it's significantly lighter (due to the band) and the eco-drive recharging keeps it low maintenance and dependable. It keeps time well and the date is quite easy to adjust for the current month. I really like the larger numbers, hands, and date magnifier as it makes reading much easier at a quick glance. The band/buckle is nothing to write home about, but I haven't noticed anything bad. I really like the watch, and my only gripe would be that the crown is pretty aggressive and slightly irritated the top back of my hand for the first week or so until I started to develop a slight callus, and it has not been a problem since (this is mostly a personal factor with how I wear my watches, I suspect it will be different for different people). Overall, an excellent timepiece for what I paid, but I probably wouldn't have paid full price.
Great Casual Watch
This is a great casual watch that goes well with jeans. The nato strap is very comfortable and I really like the date magnifier.
Wanted to love it....but
I could never get the power reserve to achieve 100%. The max was about 2/3 and didn’t think that was a good sign.
Happy, but...
I was happy to be able to buy my new Citizen directly from the company (online). It gave me peace of mind to know I was getting authentic Citizen quality as I have been a customer for years. However, the tip of the band - the part that loops through buckles - appears to be a bit frayed and I am concerned it will look shabby soon. Not sure if this is a defect or to be expected. Additionally, the band I selected is a bit darker than the one I viewed online. Regarding the watch, it’s True Citizen awesomeness - just some concerns about band.
