Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this watch!!! I have had it 6 months or so now. Great looks. Great functionality. Live on the coast so lots of water exposure with zero issues. Typical Citizen product... Just great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not Your Average Dive Watch Most dive watches are difficult to wear outside of diving as they are built for function not fashion. This watch is different, as it holds all of the features and functions of a dive watch and it has design elements that allow you to wear it all the time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great durability. First divers watch My first diver‘s watch. Always wanted a watch that was actually waterproof, kept the correct time, and never needs a battery. Would like to see the option of a different band so it can be worn as a semi dress watch. Love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Everything you need, nothing that you don't. There is something oddly refreshing about the perfect tool watch. A watch engineered specifically for a purpose, and that delivers on that purpose in a basic, no-frills, kind of way. One that you can beat around and wear it's scars as a symbol of pride. A watch you don't have to handle with kid gloves. A watch that is built to last, but also easy to replace. This may be Citizen's least expensive dive watch, but in my opinion it is also their best. Simply because it delivers what it promises, nothing more, and at a price point that is hard to beat. One can marvel at the engineering prowess demonstrated in their 1000m professional diver model, but almost none of us are diving in saturation diving conditions that require a helium release valve, or a locking bezel. We buy it because we think it's cool. And that's ok. If you have the spend. But truth be told, most of us won't ever seriously stress out the base model BN0151-09L reviewed here, and that is why I like it so much. At 100ft, this watch performs the exactly the same as the one costing 10x as much. An ISO certified dive watch, that is certified 4x recreational dive depths, for under $250. What's not to love? This watch doesn't boast a fancy "sunburst" dial, or jewels. Everything about this watch is done to make it easy to dive with and nothing more. Plain and simple. From the orange highlight on the minute hand, to the easy to read lume, to the polyurethane band which allows for expansion of the wetsuit when wet. There is almost nothing on this watch simply for show, except perhaps the engraving on the crown. This is the very definition of a tool watch. And while some might prefer a sapphire crystal, those of us who dive know that scratches have a tendency to simply disappear underwater, which is where this watch calls home. Again, another example of simply providing what is needed, and nothing more. The Eco-Drive provides quartz accuracy without the need to replace batteries. Thus ensuring that your dive watch maintains it's water resistance until you need to replace your seals. If you want to take your dive watch out to dinner, or show off it's "helium release valve" to your buddies, then feel free to purchase one of Citizen's more expensive Promasters. But if you are looking for a simple, easy to use, no frills, affordable dive watch, then look no further than the one here.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Good Watch I bought this as my weekend watch (I only wish I were a diver) to give a classic watch to wear that looks and functions great. The watch is easy to read, it never needs batteries which I like a lot. This is my fourth Citizen Eco Drive and has been a great addition.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from The PACKAGING is infuriating. I really like the look, comfort, function and affordability of this watch. HOWEVER. I'm very close to sending it back because of the STUPID and completely unnecessary packaging. First it comes in a big box, ok at least that can be reused or recycled but it is unnecessary and takes a lot of energy to make it. Second the watch comes in this little plastic SCUBA tank looking thing. Ok sure it is cute but that plastic is NOT recyclable so guess where it is going? THE LANDFILL and then later into the Ocean. I want to send this packaging back to Citizen. I'm really disappointed because I want to keep this watch but not sure I can in good conscience due to the stupid amount of unnecessary packaging.

The crown to my new BN0151-09L watch is very tight. I cannot loosen it to set the date and time, I broke the tip of my fingernail trying. Where can I take it, what can I do to set the date/time? I don't want to damage the watch trying to set it.

Asked by: RKHawaii
You need to push in the crown and then unscrew

Do not dive but swim every day. After a swimming training I take 15-minutes hot shower. Do I need to put the watch off my wrist or I can stay with the it under the hot water? Does hot water (approx 40 degs) affect the sealings or no need to bother?

Asked by: LZ7ST
According to ISO 6425: 'Resistance to thermal shock. Immersion of the watch in 30±2 cm of water at the following temperatures for 10 minutes each, 40 °C, 5 °C and 40 °C again. The time of transition from one immersion to the other shall not exceed 1 minute. No evidence of water intrusion or condensation is allowed' - This would lead me to believe your activity is more than safe to perform ;=)

Hi, I have the blue band with the depth and n.d. times. One of the bands after the buckle has broken. Where can I get a new OEM replacement or the full strap?

Asked by: Tuga
You need to call Citizen Watch America at 310-532-8463 or 310-225-4926. Have your watch with you, they will ask the model # and other info regarding the watch.

Why does Citizen no longer make dive watches in ladies' sizes (38mm)? I love the Promaster diver watches, but they are too large for me. All the stores/sites with the smaller ladies size say they are out of stock and the item is no longer available.

Asked by: Miaa
Due to the components we currently use to make our Promaster Diver watches it is impossible to fit them in a smaller case such as the 38mm. At this time the smallest Promaster we have is the new Promaster Tough which case measures at 42mm.

I just recently purchased your BN0151-09L diver‘s watch. Love the look and color. I would like to purchase a matching link metal band. I noticed one of your diver watches come with a metal band. Would it be possible to get one?

Bracelet is Citizen part number: 59-S06105 Expect to pay $105-$160. It is a very special bracelet with a sliding, ratcheting wet suit compatible adjuster in the buckle. Very sharp! I believe it will also fit previous generation Citizen NY0040 ProMaster watches with a 20mm Lug. In the US, there are some well-staffed Citizen only retail stores. I found one in an outlet mall and the people there were very knowledgeable and had very good prices. There are less expensive quality alternatives, without the Citizen logo and features, about $65.00 from retailers on-line, but you'll have to do research for quality. My experience with bracelets cheaper than about $50 is they feel, well, cheap. Make sure you can return it if you decide to order from somebody on-line in case it deosn't meet your expectations.
