Promaster Diver is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 19.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent. Even works on a smaller wrist. Very good looking and standard Citizen high quality. I didn't think a watch with these measurements would work on my smaller wrist but it fits fine. In response to the reviews saying it should have a sapphire crystal: this is a dive watch. Sapphire is highly scratch resistant but not highly shatter resistant. Mineral glass is highly shatter resistant but not highly scratch resistant. If you are diving and the crystal gets a scratch, you are fine. If you are diving and the crystal shatters, you are NOT fine -- the watch would stop working due to water getting in and you would lose track of time. True dive watches normally avoid sapphire for that reason.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stellar Watch I have been searching for a great dive watch that was quartz. I wanted a traditional diver like an SKX, but in quartz. I have too many automatic watches and wanted something I could just pick up an go with. VERY happy with this watch, its super lightweight, very sold , and looks very classic. The quality is here for sure, the second hands lines up perfectly with the tick marks, the bezel aligns dead center, all around fit & finish is excellent. I am very pleased. There should be more pics on the Citizen website, the ones here don't do the watch justice.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from LOVE the watch... needs a sapphire crystal!!! Absolutely love this watch. I just wish we could get one with a sapphire crystal. If it had a sapphire crystal it would be a 5 star watch. The sapphire crystals last so much longer than the mineral ones I am not sure why all "better" watches don't include them at least as an option.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love my Titanium Promaster Perfect! Just got mine as a replacement for my old Citizen Noblia 12 Meter watch. Love it. Watch is light and looks great. Workmanship is first rate. Bezel feels smooth and I love the idea that the watch doesn't have to be opened every year to replace a battery.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Possibly the best lightweight solar diver I've been looking for a lightweight water-resistant watch with great lume, and this is the best alternative I've found. It also "made me a metal-bracelet person". Even though I though I would put it on a rubber or nato, I am still 1 month in and using it on the bracelet. I too have had some problems with the bezel, but it seems to have worn in because I haven't experienced it in the last couple of week. The bezel action was unsatisfactory quite often the first two weeks or so. I don't know if it stopping is random or if it is because it has worn in a bit. It would be nice with a saphire glass at this pricepoint. I would also like it better if the diameter was 2 mm smaller as well. 44.5 barely works for me. Luckily it does, because this watch has a unique set of features. There really aren't many competitors that are lightweight solar quartz divers. Movement is as far as I can tell very good. Mine is heading for less than -10s/y after the first month. The bracelet is great too. It feels very solid and is comfortableyet still very light weight. I indeed reccomend this piece.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Really poor quality control Got this watch for Christmas from my wife, opened it Christmas Day and immediately noticed that the bezel hour markers and watch face markers did not line up. The bezel rotation was very sloppy and loose, and no matter how many times I rotated to try and line up marks it did not work. Approximately 1/16” slop in bezel movement before clicking to next location on dial. The secondary locking clasp was also defective and would not stay locked as on side did not line up correctly with the pin meant to hold it. Beautiful watch besides the poor controls already pointed out. Now I get to wait for a refund, who knows how long that is going to take since it took several days to receive a reply email with return labels from citizen. Overall very unhappy with purchasing directly from citizen, and will no longer trust them to send a properly functioning product out.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Massively Disappointed - Grinding Bezel I've been waiting for a watch like this to come out as I love diver watches, but many of them are rather heavy and can cause fatigue on my wrist after long periods of time. I was excited when the watch became available, so I ordered one through a local jeweler. When the watch arrived, I immediately noticed how rough the rotating bezel felt when I turned it. It felt as though parts were grinding inside the bezel. I rejected this watch as defective and had the jeweler order another. The second one arrived a week later and although it was slightly better, it still had the same grinding problem when the bezel is slowly turned. The bezel ratcheting mechanism works poorly and feels like it was either incorrectly assembled or poorly designed. I asked for my deposit back and walked away in disgust and disappointment. The grinding, poorly functioning bezel really bugged me. This is not the level of quality I would expect from Citizen. I already own seven other Citizen Eco Drive watches, including some diver watches and two of the non-divers are titanium. This Promaster titanium diver watch does not come close to meeting my expectations of quality, especially at this price point. I hope Citizen addresses this issue with this watch as it seems like a nice watch otherwise.

Has anyone else had the grinding rotating bezel problem cited by the reviewer?

Asked by: CitizenRick
I have many citizen watches from the JDM and the USA market and this is the only one with a problematic bezel. When new, the bezel was overly tight and lacked that click when the bezel is rotated. After a couple weeks the bezel became stuck. The watch was washed in warm water. Underwater,  the bezel loosened and started to rotate, the ratchet function feIt dull and cheap. Now I am questioning the quality control of Citizen watches.

Citizen, Could you tell me the weight of the watch as well as its thickness. I see that the diameter is 44mm but the other specs are of interest. Thanks John C

Asked by: JohnC
It is half the weight of my Seiko Kinetic Divers 200m.

I think my date dial operates on 12 hour days. It is always a day behind or ahead. In the morning, it is a day behind, so I adjust it to the current day. At noon on the same day, the dial rotates to the next day. How do I fix this? Thanks.

In my opinion all the diver models should have the following characteristics: - super titanium - radio controlled - eco-drive I have an old citizen BY2000-55E diver model that has all these features. Why are not included in the new models?

Asked by: Enrico
The model watch you are mentioning with all the characteristics named is a non-US model watch. As you have reached Citizen US, I can only say that we have not manufactured watches with all those characteristics. If we should decide to make a watch with those characteristics mentioned, it willl be posted to our website and/or other social media pages. Please keep an eye there for any of these announcements or updates.

I am confused. The product description says the case and bracelet is SuperTitanium. Yet CitizenCS mentions that there is only the stainless steel bracelet available when answering a question about a rubber strap. Is the case Titanium or Ti-coated?

Asked by: CitizenDave
I sincerely apologize for any confusion I may have caused you. I misspoke when describing the band that is available for this watch. The band for this model watch mentioned is Super Titanium, as well as the case of the watch. Both the case and the band are Super Titanium.  I would prefer a rubber band rather than the titanium it comes with. Has anyone found a high quality band that looks good with the titanium? I guess I could go with an Everest in black, green or blue unless someone has a better idea.

Asked by: CitizenRick
The model watch mentioned only has the stainless steel band available. As we do not have additional bands available for model watch mentioned, we do not recommend any after market bands. Hello. I need extra spring bars for this model. (The one that came with the bracelet has thicker ends). How do I know which one to get if it is important to me that they are exactly the same measurements as the originals?

Asked by: oes25

I need to adjust the bracelet - need to make it smaller - is there a video or some documentation that describes the process to accomplish this? Thanks
