Excellent jewel timepiece
Looks better in real world compared to how it looks in pictures. The bracelet sizing was perfect as well.
Stunningly Beautiful
I recently dropped my Corso on the floor, which I love for its simplicity, solar power, and amazing accuracy (2 seconds off a month), had to send it for repair, so decided to stick with Citizen and a similar design for my replacement timepiece. Many years ago I used to wear automatics and eventually stopped due to mediocre to so so accuracy. But when I saw this Tsuyosa in gradient teal color and read reviews about the movement inside this thing, I was sold. The three most important things for me a watch must have (other than being reasonably accurate) are a clean dial with luminous hands, legible date and sapphire crystal. This watch has all three! Simplistic, classy, and timeless-looking dial, the date has a magnifying lens for ease of reading (in case you need reading glasses) and the crystal is sapphire, so no scratches with daily use. My Corso also has a sapphire glass and not a scratch or dent on it after several years, yet the case is all beaten up with heavy use. That is what I need from a watch. This Tsuyosa is surprisingly accurate for an automatic. After 4 days of use it was forward by only 10 seconds, so 2-3 seconds per day is on par with what my friend was getting on his $10k Jaeger Geophysiq. Nice. Fit of this Tsuyosa is great, size of the dial is perfect, not too large, not too small (I have large hands and 7" wrist circumference) and only had to remove 2 links from the bracelet. I like wearing a looser fit than most guys. Just be mindful that the date lens is protruding outwards, not inwards, so the crystal is not 100% flat, it has a slight bump where the lens sticks outward, which you cannot see from the pictures. But it is smooth, so it doesn't snag on clothes or anything. Just thought I'd mention it. It is a great watch and will surely serve me the rest of my life. I'm already waiting for the same model in Tiffany Blue, when it's back in stock. That one is a stunner. I've been wearing it non-stop since taking receipt of it, so cannot attest to the power reserve (they claim 2+ days). But waking this thing up is as easy as 10 turns of the crown to kickstart it, set the time again, and then let your wrist movement do the rest of the work as the day goes by. Also, it is 50 WR rated, so should be safe in the shower, unless you are of course using a leather bracelet instead of steel. If you are a spouse or a partner looking for a nice gift for your man, I don't know which guy would not like a watch like this. Even if he'd wear it only once a year for special occasions, this thing is worth it! And don't let me mention the exhibition glass window on the back of it. That's when you'll see your guy turn into a little kid who cannot stop staring with utter glee at the counterweight spinning around! Don't ask me how I know.... :-) I'm planning to have 2 of these and swap them daily to keep them powered up and accurate. Having too many automatics can become a chore as each time you pick up a dead one after several days you must not only wind it up a bit, but also set the time and date again. Two automatics is the most I'd ever want to consistently wear 24/7/365...
I am in love with my new purchase!!! It is an eye-catcher!!! I am always wearing my watch everyday no matter what I am doing or wearing. You cannot go wrong with this watch!!! As a woman, I have always loved men's watches even though I have small wrists, but this watch does not over power my wrist. The color is considerably more beautiful!!! This is my first Citizen purchase and I am hooked!!! Eventually, I will be purchasing the same watch with the black face and possibly the white face as well!!!
