The past becomes the present with the new Promaster Dive Automatic men’s watch by Citizen. Going deeper into the history of the original version of this diving watch, it was released in 1989 for the new generation of dive watch enthusiasts. A design element that stands out is the distinctive, serrated bezel design that was inspired by a fugu, the Japanese name for pufferfish. Featuring a 3-piece, 44mm case, sapphire crystal, and a black polyurethane strap, the black rotating bezel with a black easy grip aluminum ring surrounds the green dial and luminous hands and markers, while the case back features an engraving of a fugu or pufferfish. This technically advanced and automatic sport watch comes in an exclusive collector’s dive tank box and is ISO compliant with a screw-down crown and water resistant to 200 meters. Caliber 8204.

Very nice watch
Great dive watch with sapphire crystal
Beautiful watch. The case is NOT made of plastic like one of the other reviewers stated. It is stainless steel with a durable black coating. Sapphire crystal is great. I have 4 different colors of this same watch and love them all. I’m left handed and wear my watch on the right wrist so it is nice to have a crown on the left side of the case. The fugu (puffer fish) on the caseback is cool to look at. I ordered a light grey Isofrane strap to wear it on. For now it is on a 20mm black Isofrane. The citizen strap is too small for my wrist (8.5 inches). It barely fits but the keepers keep sliding off because I’m on the 2nd to loosest hold. The Isofrane keepers are more grippy and stay on better. Also, with the Fugu models that come on bracelet I have needed an extra link. Didn’t see extra links on the citizen site so I scavenged a link from the white Fugu to the wear on the Batman version. Would love an extra 2 links for my white Fugu.

Perfect Watch
This watch is amazing! I recently looked at the old model of this online but I'm very glad I didn't buy it because this came out a few weeks later. The colors are good online but stunning in person. I love the emerald green with silver dial accents to go with the black case. This watch isn't heavy at all and is a good size for my 7.5 inch wrist in terms of the band size and the dial size. This is definitely a must have for anyone the market for a simple yet classy dive watch

Unhappy with watch
The watch is very inferior in person compared to the picture online. The watch face is too small; the housing is cheap black plastic rather than the beautiful metallic grey depicted; the numbers on the bezel are dim unlike the numbers depicted.
Looks great but useless
The watch runs 9+ secs/day fast and I have to reset every third day just to have up to the minute accuracy. It might as well be wind up. It looks great. Love the size, black case, 8 o'clock crown, bezel and sapphire. If only it were eco-drive, it would be my ultimate watch. However, it is useless for keeping time and I wish I could return it. Citizen, please, please, make this watch with Eco-Drive!
