Citizen, featured in two issues of Women’s Wear Daily this week, talks about Baselworld, Milan Design Week and a very exciting upcoming brand campaign. Citizen introduces a new generation of speed with their Satellite Wave F100 and a brand new collection, Citizen L, and the launch of the Sunrise model.
Citizen continued to shine at this year’s Baselworld, the world’s largest watch and jewelry trade show held In Basel, Switzerland. Despite the amazing reaction from the 2013 booth, Citizen was able to top that this year with over 50,000 watch movements glittering from above to present their “Compressed Time” story line. Following the 2014 Baselworld in March, Citizen presented yet another astounding presentation of time at Milan Design Week in April 2014. This was Citizen’s first appearance at the show and walked away with two awards, “Best Entertaining” and “Best Sound”. Now leading into Fall 2014, Citizen will be launching their new campaign, “BETTER STARTS NOW”, featuring a business strategy all about taking this industry-leading company to the next level. They will not only be launching a new Satellite Wave watch, the F100, but also jumping more into the women’s market. The new Citizen L collection will feature stunning, stylish and elegant watches for the ladies. The main model for this collection will be the Sunrise, with brilliant sparkling diamonds, a flower bud crown and mother-of-pearl dial, all inspired by the “morning dew”.
Citizen discusses all this and more in not one but two issues of WWD on Tuesday, May 20th and Wednesday, May 21st issues.
