ATTESA HAKUTO-R
Super Titanium

A Unique Timepiece
I bought this watch because of the space connection, as a fan of the Bulova Lunar Pilot and the Omega Speedie I thought this would go well with the collection. After purchasing, I fell in love with the looks, lightweight, and extremely accurate movement. It is beautiful without being ostentatious. It gets the most wrist time of any of my other pieces.
Beautiful, clear, precise timepiece
Just received my watch yesterday and already loving it. Beautiful, clear dial, such precise time. The super titanium is so light. Looks very similar to a Daytona. I do wish given the price, that a certificate of authenticity with numbered piece would have been nice.
High Tech... Elegant Watch
I have wanted to purchase a GPS synchronized watch for some time. The only problem is most look like toys. This is not the case with this watch. Elegant. Precise. Stunning. The sapphire crystal with the metal tones is extraordinary. Not exactly a bargain watch, but if you are only looking for a bargain, then a Hakuto-R isn't for you. If you want a precise, impressive time piece... it is a great buy.
A (Time)Piece of Space Exploration History
I had been eyeing this Hakuto-R watch (CC4016-75E) for a while, but was holding off, until I couldn't hold off any longer. I read the reviews before making a decision, but the reviews had been insufficient for me, so I decided to move forward with the purchase. The watch itself is a great-looking watch. At first, I was a bit apprehensive about ordering a two-tone watch because I normally don't like gold-tone watches, but the gold on this watch is matte and does not have a bright shine that is characteristic of gold-tone watches (see picture). Something that also pleasantly surprised me was how quick the GPS reception was when setting the time. Based on my experience with other Citizen Atomic-Time (A-T) and Satellite Wave watches, the signal response time on this watch was very quick. I had the watch fitted to my size when I ordered it, so it was nice when I put the watch on and glad that it wasn't too loose or too tight. I've only had the watch for about a week, so I'm still learning all the features, but I can say that this is one of the nicest looking watches that I own, and I own several Citizen watches. In terms of any complaints, I do have some, but these are minimal. The watch I received had some white spots near where the watch clasp closes (see picture). For the price of this watch, I would think that the quality control would be up to the highest standard. The spots are not visible when the watch is closed, but I would of preferred for it not to have the spots since I am a bit picky, especially since this watch is not inexpensive. Also, the box that it came with was not in great condition. One of the flaps was unglued (see picture), and when I press on it, it does stick back on the cardboard, but after a while it gets unglued again. Furthermore, the watch did not come with a certificate of authenticity that identifies the number of the watch. Since this is a limited edition watch and, according to the description, there are only 1200 available worldwide, I would think that a certificate had to be included to let the owner know the number of the watch of the 1200 pieces available. A certificate came with another limited edition Citizen watch that I purchased that was much less expensive, so this was definitely a disappointment. Finally, when I registered the watch on the MyCitizen app, the name of the watch shows up as simply 'Sport Luxury' instead of being listed as 'Hakuto-R' (see picture). The complaints on my part are minimal when compared to the overall quality and appearance of the watch, which is why I rated it 5 stars, although I would have rated it 4.5 if half stars were an option just because I wasn't 100% satisfied because of the spots problem. All in all, this is a very nice watch, but I'm wondering why this version was not discounted, when the other "Dark Side of the Moon" version of the Hakuto-R (AT8185-71E) is currently on discount.
