Great first Automatic
I have owned a citizen Eco-Drive for over 10 years now and love it. I have always been fascinated with the Automatic movements of Tag Huer and other luxury brands. Unaware of nominally priced automatics, I stumbled across the Promaster Dive Automatic NB6004-83E on sale. It immediately struck my eye. Pros: Perfect weight. High quality case and bracelet. Beautiful domed crystal that wont get bumped or scratched due to the bezel design. Keeps time over 3 days at less than 10 seconds. Con: The only con is that the numbers on the bezel due to its design are barely legible. In phots it is fine but in person, the numbers blens in with the rest of the bezel. That's it. If they were a bit more legible at a glance, it would be my perfect first automatic.
The best of the best.
I have no words to describe how much I’m delighted with this watch masterpiece. This is one of the best watches I’ve ever seen and owned, the name Kraken is just perfect for this watch, has everything that you need in a watch. I fully recommend it. Thanks to all the watches engineers that design this beautiful masterpiece 🙏🏻. I already bought 4 different ones ( JV1008-63E, BJ2169-08E, BJ8058-06L. from the pro master models and I’m so happy to own them. Just a little complain about one of my orders, Citizen suppose to send me a canvas bag as a gift with one of them which I never received. If someone in Citizen company read this message. I am hoping that they do the right thing after I spend so much in this beautiful watches. I also waiting on the Ecozila BJ8058-06L that is coming this Tuesday 😃 and planning to get some more 👍🏻
Well Built and Fun Watch
It's wide: 46mm. It's light, but because it's tall -- 21mm from caseback to bezel -- it had a high center of gravity. It feels tall and it may take some getting used to from people who have never worn big watches. This is definitely a t-shirt and jeans watch. The dial is deep, maybe 10 to 12 mm from bezel to dial -- and a good 7 or 8 mm from crystal to dial -- the bezel isn't loomed or painted, and the minute hashes are on a sloped down, so it isn't as easy to time and read small increments as it is on many other dive watches. In short, it's isn't as practical as many traditionally designed, ISO complaint divers. So why does it get five stars? Because it's a well-designed, forward looking, fun and attractive watch with a rock solid and accurate movement. It has a cool degrade, hobnail grey dial that looks great. Add that to the distortion free crystal and the deep dial looks even better. I really enjoy looking at the dial, it a cool effect. The bezel turns easily with firm clicks and everything aligns. The case is nicely finished. Bracelet with micro adjust. The 9051 movement is rock solid. It's running at about -1.5 s/d, which is fantastic, and it has similar anti-magnetic properites to METAS movements, so I don't to worry about my watch becoming magnetized, which, unfortunately, is a common hazard today. It doesn't look like anything else out there, and it's super fun to wear. It's not a GADA watch, it's definitely a weekend warrior, but I look forward to when I do wear it.
Awesome Watch
Great build quality and aggressive appearance. Yes, it is a large watch but the weight is very comfortable. The Titanium looks amazing and really helps with the weight. I was a little unsure about the size but it looks incredible and seems to keep very accurate time. I’ll know better after I’ve had it a while. Definitely glad I purchased this watch!
