I think this is the most expensive watch in my Citizen Collection. Whoever is designing Citizen watches, is got it together. They look good, keep great time, all my Citizen watches run perfectly, including a 35 year old (work) watch. I own the red version of this watch. If I would have known there was an Attessa version, I would have gotten it. But, the Attessa version does need “Titanium” under the moon phase. The watch is amazing. My watch updates exactly at 2 am every morning. It takes about 2 minutes to update. It’s fun to tell Apple Watch users when their watch will change to the next minute, down to the second . And my watch is mechanical. So Apple Watch users, you’re using the Atomic clock for your timekeeping. I even have measured the full moon to see how accurate the moon is sitting in the middle when it is exactly full. Information you can get from a Lubar app or the internet. Citizen, this is an amazing watch. Amazing look, great technology. I used a 38mm glass cover, to protect the crystal. Get one that has a bevel slanted at 45° toward the edges of the crystal. Don’t let this watch get scratched. It’s that nice. Peace.

I recently came to appreciate watches and what wearing one can do for your mindset. Constantly aware of the inevitable passing of time and how precious such a thing is. When headed into a licensed dealer to buy my first “real” timepiece, a different brand and make that I had researched, this watch caught my eye as I waited for the clerk and I couldn’t shake how beautiful it was. I walked out that day without it but for a month, it sat with me that this watch existed. I called my brother after seeing it and after he said “did you get it?” Meaning the watch I already set my mind to before entering the store, I confirmed “yes” only to add “but a Citizen watch put me in a crisis”. Some personal background, my wedding band is black Tungsten (matches bezel) and my favorite color is purple (matches dial). Since I was a child, I was fascinated with space and to pay homage to that childlike dream, everything I own that’s meant to inspire wonder is astronaut/space themed. My gamertag and online persona has always been “Astro”. As soon as I saw the moon phase and the red moon dial……it had its grips on me. The “red” is more of a dark magenta. I haven’t seen it appear red in any light, which I prefer. The black bezel, which is featured on the “red” version of this watch unlike any other color way in the Tsuki-Yomi collection, matches my wedding band beautifully. I love how brilliant the bracelet looks on this watch although I wish they had used a more premium mechanism for the clasp (small and only knitpick). With my other watch, I had to swap out the bracelet immediately for leather to preserve it as after only a day at my computer with my wrist resting on the desk as I typed….scratches appeared. That is NOT an issue here. This watch feels like a tank. The Titanium feels light and has already taken some hits as I’m getting used to moving with a watch on my wrist and the watch looks fresh out of the box still. All in all, this watch is personal. I’ve never felt like something was made with me in mind but this piece feels bespoke to my style and character. If you’re interested at all, you won’t regret your decision and I highly encourage you to indulge. I didn’t even talk about technology because of how long winded this review is but my goodness, you’re getting one of the most jam packed pieces of equipment out here. The radio controlled self setting is so cool to witness.

After wearing the Citizen Tsuki-yomi A-T [BY1018-55X] for nearly six months, I can confidently say it has become one of the highlights of my collection. The moment it came out of the box, the complimentary bracelet sizing made the experience feel effortlessly premium. It fit perfectly upon first wear, and that alone set the tone for everything that followed. The case size is spot on, substantial without being bulky, refined without feeling delicate. On the wrist it strikes the exact balance I look for: presence without shouting for attention. And the dial? It is even better in person. The moonphase display paired with the subtle color contrasts gives the watch an elegance that feels both modern and timeless. Eco-Drive continues to impress me. I never have to think about power; it just runs. And when it comes to accuracy, the radio-controlled timekeeping is nothing short of exceptional. Knowing the watch is always synced and precise adds a level of confidence that is hard to match. My only real gripe is the black enamel on the bezel. It scratched far more easily than expected, and I honestly do not even know when it happened. It was a surprise given how well the rest of the watch has held up. That said, it has not taken anything away from the overall beauty. The watch still looks stunning, and the scratch blends in more than I would have expected. Overall, the Tsuki-yomi A-T has been a joy to wear. It is reliable, beautiful, comfortable, and technically impressive in a way that never feels gimmicky. Even with that one cosmetic hiccup, I am still genuinely pleased with it, enough that I catch myself admiring it more often than I would like to admit.

I absolutely adore this watch! Very eye catching and stylish I received compliments on it from my colleagues at work from the first day I wore it. It is also very light and easy to wear, due to the titanium band. The radio control is also nice, and easy to use, once you read the manual and do it once or twice. 10/10, I definitely would recommend it!

This watch is absolutely stunning. Incredibly light and comfortable because of the titanium. The face is not too big, the perfect size. But the most amazing thing is the color. I swear there is a lot of plum and purple in there, and it just rocks! Another reason I love this watch is because the inner dials don't dominate the design but compliment it. I am thrilled to be wearing this watch. Total winner.

Watch was perfectly sized thanks to the free sizing service. It fit perfectly on the wrist. I don't normally buy watches greater than 40mm, but this didn't overwhelm my wrist with the size. Great eco drive quartz, that saves me from winding and will become my travel watch. Atomic time keeping is a good feature to have when traveling around the world and different time zones. The titanium is great because I wanted to something lightweight. The titanium texture isn't as smooth, but acceptable at this price point. The overall case finish doesn't have a high polish, and smooth texture as some other citizen titanium watches. The lume on indexes and hands are good under shady or darker environments. Various photos depict a vibrant red moon dial, but it is actually a reddish purple hue. Even under brighter conditions the dial doesn't radiat red as much as photos asvertise. Although I really hoped the red dial had a brighter red hue, but I have grown to like the purple accents. Overall good purchase, and at this price point it checked all my requirements of a good watch.
