100 Years of the Walt Disney Company is Celebrated in the Founder’s Hometown

On June 3, the Walt Disney Hometown Museum in Marceline, Missouri marked 100 years of magic with a spectacular celebration sponsored by Citizen.

A festive street fair took guests back in time to experience Walt’s childhood through food, music, and storytelling. Guests were treated to drawing lessons from Jeff Shelly, the Disney artist who creates illustrations for Citizen’s Disney watches. The spectacular event concluded with a once-in-a-lifetime proclamation and clock donation by Citizen.

Citizen produced a replica of the Main Street USA clock at the Walt Disney World® Resort and dedicated it in the Walt Disney Hometown Museum garden. D23 members were proclaimed honorary citizens of Marceline, Missouri.

On this day, the 3rd of June, 2023, in honor of 100 years of The Walt Disney Company and its fans, we officially declare honorary citizenship of Marceline, Missouri to all Members of D23: The Official Disney Fan Club around the world. Marceline is the hometown of imagination, creativity, magic and now we are proud to be the official hometown in the hearts of all Disney fans.
