With a history dating back over a century, Citizen has a large catalog of compelling vintage models worthy of your attention. In the 1990s, Citizen produced a wide variety of colorful, hardy everyday watches with automatic movements, day-date complications, and matching bracelets. Made in a plethora of dial configurations, these comfortable, attractive timepieces make for excellent everyday wrist companions
This particular ref. NY2342-68PT / 4-S82914 is housed in a 34mm brushed gold-tone case with a smooth bezel; an unsigned crown at 4 o’clock; and an acrylic crystal. It features a gold-tone dial with an open minute track in black; luminous, applied round and rectangular hour indices; a day-date display at 3 o’clock with a bilingual date; a luminous ‘sword’ handset; and the Citizen Eagle applied logo above 6 o’clock.
Paired to a matching gold-tone multi-link bracelet with a flip-lock clasp, the watch features a screw-down caseback inscribed with its reference and serial numbers and comes accompanied by its original hang tags. Powered by the Miyota Calibre 8200 movement with 21 jewels and a beat rate of 21,600 vph, it’s perfect for someone who’d like to have a dressy option in his or her watchbox for those special occasions.
