Dare to reach higher

"Reaching the summit is a feeling of elation. But in reality, you are only half way there." –Ryan Riggins

As a child, Ryan Riggins developed his keen sense of adventure during a family trip to the remote, magnificent mountain-and-desert wilderness of Patagonia. Following high school, he spent a year traveling solo throughout Central America, South America and New Zealand. At college, with nothing but endless desert cracks to the west and rugged mountains to the east, he honed his mountain craft, working summers as a mountain guide in the Weminuche Wilderness. Today, he's an AMGA Certified Single Pitch Instructor, Apprentice Rock Guide and LNT (Leave No Trace) Master.

Along with rock-solid skills and an appetite for thrilling high-altitude adventure, what's essential for an environmentally responsible rock climber like Ryan is a precision-engineered timepiece that's eco-friendly – like the new Promaster Altichron.

An atmospheric pressure sensor controlled by a microprocessor is built into the module containing Eco-Drive, Citizen's proprietary light-powered technology. Once activated, it measures and indicates altitude from 1,000 to 32,000 feet for a maximum 12 hours, while simultaneously displaying the time. Leaving climbers – and their hands – free to focus 100% on climbing.

Water resistant to 200m, the innovative Promaster Altichron also features a sub altimeter and electronic compass. Housed inside its sporty 46mm black ion-plated stainless steel case, the meticulously detailed black dial features luminous hands/markers, a power reserve indicator and bright red accents. Bold and comfortable, the black polyurethane strap secures with a steel buckle.

From the Citizen Promaster Collection – fully featured specialty timepieces for the professional adventurer, weekend warrior and everyday sports enthusiast.
