Citizen is proud to continue, for the fifth year, a scholarship program to support academic achievement throughout the country. The company presents a cash award to 25 students in the U.S., based on the student’s academic accomplishment under the auspices of the National Merit Scholarship Program.

These awards, named the National Merit Citizen Watch Scholarships, are given to high school students graduating with the plan to attend a four-year undergraduate college/university. Along with achieving excellent academic records, there is a preference for student recipients who were also members of their high school sponsored sports teams and other extracurricular activities. Citizen is proud to award a four-year scholarship to these select students.

In addition to receiving this prestigious cash scholarship, each student is awarded with a Citizen timepiece with custom engraved caseback.

We congratulate all graduates this year and wish them luck in their college years and beyond.

Leather Working Group (LWG), is a member-led non-profit organization that is dedicated to driving excellence in the leather industry, minimizing the environmental impact of leather production, and challenging industry perceptions, through a suite of tools and ESG certification.
